Indications
Razadyne is a dementia medication used to treat symptoms of mild to moderate dementia caused by Alzheimer’s disease.
Galantamine is a tertiary alkaloid that inhibits acetylcholinesterase, neurons that degenarate in patients with Alzheimer’s and lead to a loss of cholinergic function. By inhibiting cholinesterase, Razadyne increases the availability of acetylcholine which improves the availability of cholinergic neurons in your brain. These actions help treat symptoms of dementia caused by Alzheimer’s degeneration and slow the progression of the disease.
