FAQ
How is Nolvadex used?
Nolvadex is approved as a treatment of hormone-positive breast cancer as well as for the prevention of this same disease in women with a high risk. The drug uses tamoxifen to block estrogen from binding to cells which stops estrogen from stimulating cancer growth in those areas, especially in the breast tissue.
How do you relieve joint pain associated with tamoxifen?
A common side effect of Nolvadex which a small number of female patients report experiencing is joint pain and stiffness. If you develop these symptoms during your Nolvadex treatment, some ways that you can help relieve pain is taking a pain reliever such as acetaminophen or exercising, especially weight-bearing activities.
