Indications
Lac-Hydrin lotion is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) lotion that contains ammonium lactate as its active ingredient.
Lac-Hydrin lotion is primarily used for the treatment of dry, scaly, and itchy skin conditions, such as xerosis and ichthyosis vulgaris. Lac-Hydrin lotion can help exfoliate dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, while also moisturizing it to help reduce dryness and itchiness.
Use and Dosage
If you are using the lotion, shake the bottle well before using it.
Apply a thin layer of this medication to the affected areas of the skin, usually twice daily or as directed by your doctor. Rub the medication thoroughly into the skin.
Be careful to avoid your eyes, lips, inside your mouth/nose, the vaginal area, and any areas of broken skin. Stinging or burning may occur when this medication is applied on the face, on chapped skin, or a recently shaved area of the skin. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
Inform your doctor if your skin condition does not improve or worsen.
