Indications
Klor-Con Powder is a medication that contains potassium chloride.
Klor-Con Powder is used to treat and prevent low levels of potassium in the body, a condition known as hypokalemia.
Potassium is an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including maintaining proper heart and muscle function.
Use and Dosage
To prevent stomach upset, you must first mix your dose of potassium with a glass (4 to 8 ounces/120 to 240 milliliters) of cold water or juice as directed by your doctor. If you are using the liquid form of this medication, carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose. After mixing, slowly drink the entire mixture. Take each dose after a meal. If you have an upset stomach, mixing your dose in a larger amount of liquid may help. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if you have symptoms of low potassium in the blood (such as irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness/cramps).

Seek emergency medical attention.
Overdose symptoms may include irregular heartbeats, chest pain, or muscle weakness.
What to avoid?
Avoid taking supplements or using other products that contain potassium without first asking your doctor. Salt substitutes or low-salt dietary products often contain potassium.
