Indications

Estrace vaginal cream is a medication containing estradiol, a female hormone that is used topically in the vagina to treat symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, burning and itching caused by the declining levels of estrogen.

Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Use the medicine as soon as you can but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not use two doses at one time.

Remove the vaginal ring and insert a new one as soon as you remember. Do not use an extra vaginal ring to make up for the missed wearing time.

If a vaginal ring falls out, rinse it with warm water and reinsert it. If it slides down into the lower part of the vagina, use your finger to push it in farther.

Avoid smoking. It can greatly increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack while using estradiol. Avoid using other vaginal products without your doctor’s advice.
