Indications
Vagifem (estradiol) is a medication approved for the treatment of atrophic vaginitis, a condition that occurs due to menopause. It replaces the estrogen that the body is no longer producing, and helps alleviate symptoms such as vaginal dryness, itching, and burning.
Uses and Dosage
Before using Vagifem, carefully read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist.
Use Vagifem as directed by your physician, typically once daily for the first 2 weeks, then 2 times a week thereafter.
The dosage will be based on your individual medical condition and response to treatment, it should be used regularly to obtain the maximum benefit from it.
Do not increase the dosage or use Vagifem more frequently or for an extended period than directed. This may lead to the development of adverse effects.
